You use the Centrify application to register your device. If you have not yet installed the Centrify application on your device, go to Adding a device for the instructions.
To register the device:
- If the Centrify application is not already running, open Apps on the device and tap the icon.
- Enter your user name and password.
Your IT administrator will provide you with the user name and password you should use.
(Contingent upon configuration) If your systems administrator has enabled the feature, you can register your device without entering your user name and password. Do the following:
The next step depends upon whether your organization is using the Privileged Access Service or another product for mobile device management.
- If your organization is using the Privileged Access Service for mobile device management, continue with the remaining steps in this procedure to complete registration.
- If your organization is using another service for mobile device management, registration is complete and the Centrify application opens to your Web Apps screen. Skip the remaining registration steps and proceed to Using the Centrify application
Read through the text and tap Activate.
This launches the Privileged Access Serviceregistration process which adds your device in the Privileged Access Service.
If you have an Android device from another vendor, this completes device registration.
This completes the device registration and begins the mobile device policies installation. Mobile policy installation can take a minute or two to complete. At the end of the policy installation, the Centrify application opens to one of the following screens:
A list of web applications. This is the Web Apps screen. Go to Using the Centrify application to learn about the Centrify application user interface.
A list of mobile applications. This is the Mobile Apps screen. Go to Using the Centrify application to learn about the Centrify application user interface.
