Configuring the Centrify NIS server

This chapter describes how to install and configure the Centrify Network Information Service (adnisd). The adnisd process allows a Centrify-managed computer to act as the NIS server for NIS clients in a joined domain. Using adclient and adnisd together, you can store authentication, authorization and network information in Active Directory, and respond to NIS client requests from computers and devices even where adclient cannot be installed.
